Job Description

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Basic Function – Responsible for development and enhancement of effective business processes as supported by new and existing technology solutions and systems

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Collaborate with project managers and project sponsors to determine project scope and vision

* Clearly identify project stakeholders and establish user classes, as well as their characteristics

* Conduct interviews and product / service analysis to gather user requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods

* Document as-is and to-be business processes via flowcharts and similar tools; develop pros and cons for change

* Develop business case defining the needs, costs, return on investment, and measurements of success

* Develop and utilize standard templates to accurately and concisely capture business processes and requirements specifications

* Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers / project team

* Where necessary, develop prototypes of interfaces and attributes based on findings

* Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards

* Identify and establish scope and parameters of requirements analysis in order to define impact, outcome criteria, and measure-taking actions

* Work with stakeholders and project team to prioritize collected requirements

* Develop and conduct peer reviews to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted

* Create to-be process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and / or the project team

* Conduct research on software and hardware solutions to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts; analyze current and future technology trends and their applicability to the business

* Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary

* Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications – verbally or through written documentation to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood and prioritized

* Assist with quality assurance / testing of products and solutions

* Assist with development of functional training materials for new deliverables and conducting end-user training, as required

* Maintain procedures manuals and system documentation

* Research, review, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirements-gathering processes and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes

* Continuously work with business users to identify opportunities to improve business processes through the use of best practices and / or the implementation of technology

* Ability to understand customer requirements and translate these into solution specifications and system designs, in both technical and user-friendly language

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

* College diploma or university degree in the field of business administration, finance, computer science, or information systems and 5+ years related work experience

* Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development

* Strong balance of business and technical knowledge

* Well-versed in the typical functional areas of a service company (e.g., Finance, Human Resources, Billing and Collections)

* Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) experience a plus

* Project management competency a plus
