Summary
The Part-Time Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the office while also handling the packaging and shipping of books and other materials. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently. This role requires occasional lifting and handling of packages weighing up to 25 pounds.
Key Responsibilities
- Administrative Support:
- Perform general office duties, including answering phones, managing emails, scheduling appointments, and maintaining office supplies.
- Assist with data entry, filing, and document management.
- Prepare and distribute correspondence, reports, and presentations as needed.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, including arranging logistics and preparing materials.
- Customer Service:
- Greet and assist visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Handle customer inquiries and provide information about products and services.
- Packaging and Shipping:
- Package books and other materials securely for shipment.
- Prepare shipping labels and documentation.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to arrange pickups and track shipments.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of packages.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels of books and shipping supplies.
- Assist in the organization and maintenance of inventory storage areas.
- Office Coordination:
- Assist in organizing company events, meetings, and conferences.
- Support various departments with administrative tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized office environment.
Qualifications
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Additional certification or training in office administration is a plus.
- Experience:
- Previous experience in an administrative or office support role preferred.
- Experience with packaging and shipping procedures is a plus.
