Our client, a leading healthcare organization, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless payroll processing for employees while maintaining compliance with regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Process biweekly and on-demand payroll (checks & direct deposits).
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records in HRIS.
  • Set up and manage garnishment deductions and payments.
  • Assist in training new payroll processors and troubleshooting issues.
  • Reconcile deductions, disability pay, and shift differentials.
  • Support special projects as assigned by Payroll Leadership.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of payroll experience (500+ employee environment preferred).
  • Associate’s degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficiency in HR/Payroll systems (Lawson, Kronos, or Workday)
  • Basic Excel experience (Simple formulas)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
