Our client, a leading healthcare organization, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless payroll processing for employees while maintaining compliance with regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities:
- Process biweekly and on-demand payroll (checks & direct deposits).
- Maintain and update employee payroll records in HRIS.
- Set up and manage garnishment deductions and payments.
- Assist in training new payroll processors and troubleshooting issues.
- Reconcile deductions, disability pay, and shift differentials.
- Support special projects as assigned by Payroll Leadership.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of payroll experience (500+ employee environment preferred).
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency in HR/Payroll systems (Lawson, Kronos, or Workday)
- Basic Excel experience (Simple formulas)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
