Job Description
JOB OVERVIEW
The Sr. Technical Business Analyst serves as a liaison between business and technical resources to establish alignment between business partners on the Workday implementation project strategy, value proposition, prioritization, process, and requirements for solutions. The scope of role encompasses the full lifecycle for solutions delivery, including concept definitions, business and technical design requirements, technical product ownership, organizational change, and handoff for ongoing support.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Establish strong relationships with key business partners, team members, and other stakeholders so the technical team has a robust understanding of their needs and how best to meet them.
• Work with business partners, lean process automation team members and technical business analyst to document requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Identify technical and functional requirements from business partners through interviews, documentation, facilitated working sessions, and end user observation.
• Work with business partners to fully understand root causes of issues in order to identify and effectively address underlying problems to drive better technical solutions.
• Work with software engineering team and technical business analyst to refine and manage requirements documentation for backlog items, features, and epics (Azure Dev Ops/ADO)
• Serve as a technical product owner for software implementation and/or integrations development project activities.
• Support the Agile / Scrum team process to optimize delivery effectiveness and help align the activities of multiple teams to accelerate value creation, and prioritization.
• Participate and assist in presenting business process information and technology solutions to key stakeholders in clear language to establish alignment on the information.
• Serve as a liaison between business and technical resources, effectively bridging technical and business languages, viewpoints, and capabilities to create a clear, shared understanding of process and solution requirements.
• Participate and assist in the development and maintenance of Management Action Plans, charters, one-page plans, and project status updates aligned with established practices.
• Work effectively with others to navigate, and escalate as appropriate, project roadblocks and mediate between business partner priorities.
• Serve as a liaison between the business stakeholders and vendor relationships.
• Collaborate with the project manager to support project budgets and timelines.
• Responsible for completion of technical requirements documentation in accordance with IT policies/controls for solutions delivery.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, computer science, healthcare or related field preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in enterprise healthcare process analysis, applications and solutions.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills required, including the ability to work diplomatically with a diverse workforce.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience in coordinating simultaneous assignments by assessing project deadlines, establishing work priorities, and coordinating personal work schedules.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies required
• Experience with project management strategies to plan and execute complex activities preferred.
• Resourcefulness, ingenuity, and maturity in decision making and problem solving.
• Ability to work with minimal direction and supervision.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills accompanied by flexibility to quickly adapt to a changing business environment.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
• Duties are performed in a modern office or remote setting
• Prolonged sitting, with prolonged work on a PC.
• May require some light travel.
This position may require manual dexterity and/or frequent use of the computer, telephone, 10-key, calculator, office machines (copier, scanner, and fax) and/or the ability to perform repetitive motions and/or meet production standards to comply with the essential functions. Also, may require physical and/or mental stamina to work overtime, additional hours beyond a regular schedule and/or more than five days per week.
