CDL Class A Driver

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced CDL Class A Driver to join our team in Asheville, NC. The driver will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods to various destinations, adhering to all traffic laws and company regulations. This position requires excellent driving skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities:

• Operate commercial motor vehicles (tractor-trailers) in a safe and efficient manner.
• Transport goods to local, regional, or over-the-road destinations, as assigned.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and report any maintenance issues.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members.
• Load and unload cargo as needed (may require physical effort).
• Maintain a clean and organized truck.
• Provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications:

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A.
• Clean driving record.
• Experience as a CDL Class A driver
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
• Ability to operate various types of tractor-trailers (e.g., dry van, flatbed, reefer) is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet deadlines and maintain a schedule. 
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
