Job Description
Job Description: The Construction Manager shall be responsible for field execution and oversight of government infrastructure projects, including site management, onsite construction operations, and safety compliance. Must have in-depth knowledge and experience on federal construction projects including pre-construction planning, scheduling, safety, quality control, equipment and workforce supervision. Projects may require travel depending company resources. Travel and part time opportunity is negotiable.
Responsibilities:
- Construct the work according to Plans/Specifications and Contract Documents
- Read/Understand Plans and Specification
- Coordinate with Government stakeholders on status of field activities
- Coordinate subcontractors and support staff to accomplish onsite tasks
- Maintain and assist with updating project schedule and three week lookahead
- Complete daily reporting requirements and catalog site photos
- Monitor workmanship and maintain compliance with submittal requirements
- Maintain and Facilitate the Company Safety Program
- Review subcontractor materials and workmanship
- Maintain and Facilitate the Company Quality Control Program
- Track and complete punch list according to contract requirements
- Assist with gathering O&M Manuals and Closeout Documents
- Perform other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have experience with federal contracts understanding federal proposals and pricing
- PMP
- Knowledge of vendor quote platforms (i.e. Auto Desk Construction Cloud)
- CCMA Certified Construction Manager
- Ability to work with numerous subcontractors and support staff
- Ability to read Design Plans, Specifications, and Shop Drawings
- Construction Quality Management (CQM) Certificate or willing to Pursue Certification
- CPR/First Aid and a minimum OSHA 30 certifications
- Willing to travel to job sites – time frame negotiable
- Oversee subcontractors’ duties and responsibilities
- Experience as a Superintendent/Quality Control Manager/Site Safety Officer
- Experience working with updated construction specific software platforms.
- Proficient in Windows operating systems and associated construction specific software platforms
- Experience working on smartphones and tablets
- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
- Strong communication, conflict management, and analytical skills
