Accounting Manager

Our client is seeking a results-driven Accounting Manager who aspires to grow into a strategic leadership role. This position offers a clear trajectory toward a Controller position for candidates who bring operational precision and a business-minded approach to finance.

You’ll play a critical part in not only managing the day-to-day accounting but also influencing business outcomes through financial insight and operational leadership.

Core Responsibilities:

• Manage the full accounting cycle including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Collections, Payroll, and Bank Reconciliations
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate financial data in QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop
• Prepare and present monthly P&L reports, cash flow projections, and bank reconciliations
• Coordinate expense reporting, credit applications, and customer-specific pricing structures
• Support and interface with multiple departments including warehouse, operations, and IT
• Oversee inventory management processes and assist in operational activities as needed
• Lead month-end close, generate monthly KPIs/statistics reports, and maintain calendar-based deadlines
• Partner with the company’s external CPA firm to ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
• Provide analytical support for cost-saving initiatives and financial performance improvement strategies

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of full-charge bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Expert-level proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google Suite
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and general accounting processes
• Exceptional organizational skills with high attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor
• Strong sense of accountability, urgency, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Adaptable and proactive problem solver – a self-starter who thrives in an evolving environment
• Comfortable engaging across departments and taking initiative beyond the traditional accounting scope
