Our clients is a leader in the automotive industry, delivering exceptional vehicles and services. We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will handle accounts receivable tasks over 4 stores, collaborate on car deal transactions, and assist with various ad hoc projects. This position requires someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and can adapt to shifting priorities with ease.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Receivable Management:
    • Generate and distribute accurate invoices for automotive sales, services, parts, and repairs.
    • Record and apply customer payments, ensuring accurate ledger entries and reconciliations.
    • Monitor and manage accounts receivable aging, following up on overdue accounts to ensure timely payments.
    • Post cash receipts
    • End accounts receivable statements at the end of the month
  • Car Deal Processing:
    • Review, process, and reconcile financial transactions related to vehicle sales, including trade-ins, dealer incentives, and financing agreements.
    • Collaborate with sales and finance teams to ensure compliance with dealership policies and manufacturer programs.
  • Ad Hoc Projects:
    • Assist with special financial projects, reporting, and data analysis as needed.
    • Support the team by tackling diverse tasks that arise, often requiring quick decision-making and flexibility.
  • Problem Solving:
    • Identify and resolve discrepancies in customer accounts and car deal transactions.
    • Develop and implement solutions for streamlining accounts receivable processes.
  • Collaboration and Reporting:
    • Work closely with multiple departments, including sales, finance, and management, to address urgent priorities.
    • Prepare and present accounts receivable metrics, including deal profitability, cash flow, and aging trends

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Previous experience in accounts receivable, preferably in the auto industry.
    • Experience handling financial aspects of car deals and working in a dealership environment is highly desirable.
  • Skills and Attributes:
    • Proficiency in accounting software and dealership management systems (e.g., Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK Global).
    • Advanced Excel skills for financial reporting and analysis.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Strong ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability to shifting tasks and priorities.
    • Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with automotive financing, rebates, warranty billing, and trade-in processes is a plus.
