Job Description
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
· Education – M.S. or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering, or Engineering Science & Mechanics from an ABET-accredited university in the U.S. or Canada.
· Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration in the U.S. is required.
· An advanced degree is strongly preferred.
· Experience – Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible engineering experience in one or more of the following:
o Mechanical component design and analysis
o Structural design and analysis
§ STAAD experience is highly preferred.
o Structural hardware
o Piping, supports, and/or pressure vessels is preferred.
o Pipe stress analysis using Caeser II and/or AutoPipe is preferred.
o Familiarity with the ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code (Sections II, III, V, VIII Div. 1 & 2, IX) and ASME B31.1 is preferred.
· Demonstrated ability to perform finite element analysis (FEA) may substitute for some code familiarity.
· Technical Knowledge – Strong foundation in engineering principles, advanced strength of materials, and structural analysis and design.
Skills –
· Exceptional technical writing ability and verbal communication skills.
· Strong computer and presentation skills.
· Proven organizational ability with experience managing complex, multi-phase engineering projects.
· Quality Assurance – Demonstrated experience with QA/QC practices
