Job Description
Job Summary: As the Chief Cyber Security Scientist, you will lead our organization's efforts in researching, developing, and implementing cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to identify emerging threats, devise innovative countermeasures, and ensure the integrity and security of our digital infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive a culture of proactive security measures and continuously enhance our cybersecurity posture.
Responsibilities:
- Cybersecurity Research: Conduct in-depth research to identify emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors.
- Innovation and Development: Lead the development of novel cybersecurity technologies, methodologies, and tools to mitigate evolving risks.
- Security Architecture: Design and oversee the implementation of robust security architectures for networks, systems, and applications.
- Threat Detection and Analysis: Develop advanced techniques for detecting, analyzing, and responding to cyber threats in real-time.
- Incident Response: Establish and refine incident response procedures to effectively mitigate and contain security incidents.
- Security Testing: Oversee comprehensive security testing and assessment programs, including penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, and red team exercises.
- Compliance and Regulation: Ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
- Training and Awareness: Provide cybersecurity training and awareness programs to educate employees about security risks and best practices.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, engineering, and business units, to integrate security into all aspects of our operations.
- Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the cybersecurity team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Education: A Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Experience: Significant experience (ideally 10+ years) in cybersecurity research, with a proven track record of developing and implementing innovative security solutions.
- Technical Skills:
- Expert knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C/C++.
- Experience with cybersecurity tools and frameworks, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and EDR.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve common goals.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively to address complex cybersecurity challenges.
- Certifications: Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are preferred.
