Job Description
Why This Role?
Our client is a fast-growing technology company scaling rapidly across the U.S., Canada, and Australia. They’re building out their corporate structure and need a hands-on CPA who thrives in high-growth environments and is excited to help shape the finance function during a pivotal stage.
This isn’t a “keep the books and coast” position — you’ll be working directly with the CFO, consolidating multiple entities, leading the transition from cash to accrual-based GAAP reporting, and building policies and processes that set the foundation for the company’s next stage of growth.
If you’re someone who enjoys variety, loves a challenge, and wants visibility into executive decision-making, this is an opportunity to make a lasting impact.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process across multiple legal entities.
- Manage entity consolidations and produce timely, accurate financial statements.
- Drive the transition from cash-based to GAAP accrual accounting on a calendar-year basis.
- Establish and refine accounting policies, controls, and scalable processes.
- Collaborate with leadership to deliver financial reporting and insights that guide growth.
- Optimize and manage accounting systems (Xero for transactions, QuickBooks for consolidation).
- Support tax compliance, audit preparation, and evaluation of U.S. entity setup/tax nexus.
- Jump into high-impact projects as the business scales.
What We’re Looking For
- CPA required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in multi-entity environments.
- Strong GAAP knowledge and proven consolidation experience.
- Tech-savvy and adaptable — able to optimize processes and systems.
- A “builder” who thrives in entrepreneurial, fast-paced settings.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
