Job Description
Desired Requirements
- A Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other Engineering and five years of experience in a related field.
- Experience performing MIL-STD-461 and/or IEC 61000 series of emissions and immunity tests.
- Knowledge of spectrum analyzers, EMI receivers, oscilloscopes, RF amplifiers, and vector network analyzers.
- Experience developing EMC test plans and test reports.
- Knowledge of EMC equipment calibrations and measurement uncertainty analysis.
Responsibilities
- Develop test plans and perform EMC qualification testing in laboratory and field.
- Use specialized hardware and software to characterize electromagnetic environments.
- Perform EMI/RFI troubleshooting and noise mitigation.
- Analyze equipment and test results to provide justifications when troubleshooting is not possible.
- Prepare technical documentation.
- Perform research and development activities related to EMC.
- Work with software developers to enhance EMC testing and reporting capabilities.
- Travel 5 to 10 times per year for an average 5-day duration per trip to perform field service testing at national and international nuclear power plants and other customer facilities.
