IT Field Support Technician

The IT Field Support Technician is responsible for providing on-site technical support for hardware and software solutions across various retail locations. This role reports to the IT Field Support Manager and focuses on maintaining the technical infrastructure that keeps retail operations running smoothly. 

Key Responsibilities

• Service Request Management: Prioritize and address service requests received via the company ticketing system, phone, email, or in-person interactions.
• Hardware & Software Support: Perform installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance for WAN/LAN systems, Cat 6e cabling, and other retail technology.
• System Maintenance: Oversee the performance of computer systems, conduct diagnostics, and install updates to restore full functionality.
• Inventory & Asset Management: Manage inventory stockrooms for a designated territory and work with departments to maintain hardware/software standards.
• Operational Reporting: Maintain detailed historical records of issues, remedial actions, and expense reports for company procurement cards.
• Vendor Coordination: Schedule preventative maintenance for company vehicles and coordinate with external vendors for specialized services when necessary.

Requirements & Physical Demands

• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of verifiable technology support experience.
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• License: A valid US driver’s license with a clean 3-year driving history.
• Travel: Ability to travel 45%–75% of the time to different store locations.
• Physical Ability:
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Must be comfortable working on 6–15 ft ladders.

• Type: Full-time position.
• Hours: Typically Monday through Friday, but includes on-call responsibilities, nights, and weekends to meet

Compensation

Ranges between $23 and $33 per hour DOE
