Overview
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Associate accepts delivery of packages and palletized goods and stores and/or delivers goods to recipients. Fills inventory requests and packages goods for shipment. Operates warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and rolling ladders to perform assigned duties. Daily computer activity includes processing shipments, internal and external email communication, address verification and lookup, and updating lists / related information.
Here's some of what you will be doing:
- Records deliveries into database for tracking and package receipt verification purposes.
- Breaks down palletized deliveries for storage and/or delivery to employees – verifies contents based on packing list(s).
- Prepares freight shipment in accordance with documented procedures and carrier regulations, including fully crated and banded loads.
- Pull and place items from warehouse shelf and Bin locations using Inventory Control Software, in accordance with documented procedures.
- Perform cycle counts and physical inventory activities on a scheduled basis.
- Maintains E-Waste collection and storage.
- Organize warehouse shelves for optimal use of storage capacity and prevention of damage to stored equipment / goods. Keeps warehouse areas and grounds clean and free from debris, etc.
- Services (charges) and inspects electric vehicles in the warehouse (when required) and operates all vehicles in a safe manner.
- Comply with all local, State, and Federal regulations as they pertain to safe storage and handling of equipment / goods. Assists with storage solutions for other departments.
- Shared responsibility of preparing parcels / packages for standard UPS / FedEx shipping and shipment functions in EMF Inventory control software and UPS / FedEx websites / applications.
Here's some experience we are seeking:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years of recent Forklift experience (certification a plus).
- Inventory control experience, including stocking and pulling orders, cycle counts and physical inventory activities.
- Shipping / receiving experience a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Internet Navigation)
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- A collaborative and flexible style, with a strong service mentality. Need to be seen as a team player.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop sincere business/ministry relationships.
